Meet Our Middle School Leadership Team

  • Hello Warner Middle School families and community!

My name is Jamie Simpson, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Warner Middle School. As a proud graduate of Xenia High School (Class of 1994), it means so much to continue my journey in this new role and give back to the community that helped shape who I am.

I’ve dedicated my entire 24-year career to middle school education. I began as a science teacher, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, before stepping into administration. For the past 11 years, I’ve served as an assistant principal, and I’m thrilled to now lead Warner Middle School as principal.

My educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science from Wright State University (2001), a Master’s in Education and Allied Professions from the University of Dayton (2010), and a Doctorate from Miami University, which I proudly completed in 2024.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband—who is also a teacher—and our four children, Allison, Aleah, Alexa and Mya. As a parent and educator, I understand how important these middle school years are, and I’m committed to making Warner a supportive, engaging, and safe place for every student to learn and grow.

I’m truly excited for the year ahead and look forward to working closely with our students, families, and staff. Together, we can make this a fantastic school year!

    Sincerely,
    Jamie Simpson, Ed.D.
    Principal, Warner Middle School

"Middle school is not just a bridge between childhood and adolescence—it's the foundation where curiosity is shaped, confidence is built, and the path to lifelong learning begins."

  • With a heart for students and a passion for leadership, Mr. Corey Burnette enters his fourth year as Assistant Principal at Warner Middle School, ready to continue making a lasting impact. Prior to Warner, he dedicated 25 years to Xenia High School as an Intervention Specialist, where he also coached football for 25 years and track and field for 14 years. Throughout his career, Mr. Burnette has believed in the power of relationships, resilience, and reaching every student where they are. His journey in education and athletics reflects a lifelong commitment to helping young people grow, thrive, and realize their full potential—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.

  • Greetings, Warner Middle School students, families, and community members! My name is Becky Kleinhenz, and I am thrilled to serve as the new 7th Grade Administrator/Assistant Principal. I just wrapped up my 25th year in education, during which time I have been a high school English/Communication teacher with Ada Exempted Village Schools (10 years), a Teacher Academy Instructor with Upper Valley Career Center (12 years), and most recently, the Jr/Sr High School Principal with Northwestern Local Schools (3 years).

I obtained my Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University in 2000, my Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching from Bowling Green State University in 2008, and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from American College of Education in 2018.

Outside of school, my husband and I have been married for 23 years and have two children, Jack and Josie, who are entering their senior year of college (West Virginia University) and sophomore year of college (Ohio University) respectively. We love visiting our kids at their colleges, watching Reds baseball and Bengals football games, spending time with friends and family, and embracing being empty-nesters!

Regardless of where my professional career has taken me, I continue to be a passionate educator and advocate for public education, including having high support and high standards for my students and staff. I am BEYOND thrilled to be a member of the Xenia Community Schools community; I already feel welcomed and embraced by the Warner Middle School team and can’t wait for a fantastic year of support, growth and achievement in a positive learning and working environment. Thank you!

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Becky Kleinhenz, M.Ed.

  • This is my third year at Warner Middle School, where I proudly serve as the 8th Grade Administrator/Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. With 41 years of experience in education and 19 years as a school administrator, I am passionate about fostering a positive and supportive environment for both students and staff.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University and went on to complete my Master’s and Principal degree at the University of Dayton.

Outside of work, my wife, Tammy, serves as the EMIS Coordinator for Xenia Community Schools. Our youngest son is a 2012 graduate of Xenia High School.

I am dedicated to continuing my work in education and athletics, striving to make a meaningful impact on the students and community here at Warner Middle School.
